AndrÉ KLOTZ

Every splash, every table top, every frame, André turns technical precision into pure poetry.

André Klotz is a German-Colombian photographer and founder of Klotz Photo, a studio that has set the benchmark for product and advertising photography in Latin America for over three decades.

He studied Photography at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale while pursuing Electronic Engineering at Javeriana University in Bogotá, later refining his craft through specialized training in Germany and the U.S. Since 1991, André has fused technical precision with creative vision, establishing himself as one of the most influential product photographers in Colombia and beyond.

Renowned for his ability to transform concepts into striking visual narratives, André has worked with top agencies and global brands including Chevrolet, Toyota, Bacardi, L’Oréal, Vogue, Falabella, SABMiller, among many others. His photography has earned international recognition with awards from Cannes, New York Festival, London Food Festival, FIAP, Ojo de Iberoamérica, and Caribe. With Klotz Photo, he has expanded operations throughout the region, with a presence in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Guatemala, and Mexico.

Alongside his commercial work, André has built a strong academic and educational path. He co-directed the Photography Department at Alliance Française in Bogotá, taught at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, and later founded Klotz Academy—an educational platform merging professional expertise with new approaches to visual communication. For more than 25 years, he has trained photographers, professionals, and organizations, always emphasizing creativity, technical mastery, and human connection.

Beyond advertising, André explores the intersection of photography and spirituality. For over a decade, he has created workshops that combine self-inquiry with visual expression, using the camera as a tool for awareness and transformation.

Guided by the belief that photography is both craft and language, André Klotz continues to inspire collaborators, brands, and students alike—shaping images that are precise, powerful, and profoundly human.
