La PELE
What defines LA PELE is a rigorous respect for the concept, translated into precise, simple, and deeply intentional images
Andrea - “La Pele” to friends, and sometimes even to strangers began her creative path on the agency side, working as a copywriter before crossing over to directing. Not the dark side after all, but rather one of the best decisions she ever made.
With a background in Advertising, Andrea worked across several agencies, developing a deep respect for the concept as the foundation of any strong piece of work. Whether she was defending the idea before becoming a creative, or became a creative because she believed so strongly in ideas, remains up for debate. What is certain is that concept is the backbone of everything she directs. Without it, images are just empty frames.
Her transition into directing grew naturally from her experience as an art director, first shaping films visually and eventually taking full control of the storytelling. Today, her work is defined by clarity of thought, precision, and simplicity, a simplicity she doesn’t see as something to fear, but as the purest form of expression, where every detail matters.
Andrea is driven by thinking above all else. She believes ideas can be born anywhere, as long as there is a genuine desire to question, observe, and reflect.
She has collaborated with agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi NYC, Ogilvy, Havas, McCann, and VML, working with clients including Toyota, Samsung, Danone, Chevrolet, and P&G, among others.
Her work has been shortlisted at El Sol and recognized at the CdeC Awards, where she received a Gold for Best Direction for De esto no se habla (Ministerio de Igualdad). She was also recognized at the IMVA for Sila Lua’s music video Brasil.
